Being a father of two girls it still pisses me off. Fortunately I'm of a temperament and personality that I let these kinds of things roll off my back because I just think they're stupid. I'm sorry this disturbs you so.

As to planning your ordination service, I didn't have to do anything for mine but choose two sponsors and show up. We have ordination services at our Synod Assemblies for those who have a call at that time. I just received an invitation from the bishop to an ordination service next Friday (since there's not Synod Assembly this year) where 3 ordinands will be ordained. I like the fact that the bishop wants to make it a synodical occasion and celebration rather than just congregational.

But as to your task, the 1982 Occasional Services book (the companion to LBW) has the rite for ordination with rubrics in it. I don't know if the new ELWorship materials have an ordination rite among them.

I would be in touch with your bishop and the synod office for some help with this. They might have files ready so share and edit that they could just email you. I certainly think your bishop should be involved in this planning.

Congratulations, by the way, if I didn't already congratulate you.Tom in Ontariohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12154434042794825551noreply@blogger.com
