i have my own customized google news page, and for the most part, i really love having it. it's a good way for me to stay on top of the important things going on in the world.
however...
while my world news, u.s. news, and top stories tend to really and truly report pertinent news, at the same time my more specialized sections are stuck in a rut: science/technology, health, and entertainment (i don't read much out of the entertainment section, but i am always curious about the headlines.)
basically...i am sick of reading about the following handful of topics that regenerate in only slightly modified forms every day (at least for the past week or so):
1. bird flu (am i unpatriotic or silly for really really not caring and wanting to worry about it?)
2. the newest harry potter movie (it's good, i've heard, but do we need to hear about it every day?)
3. Sony and their copy-protected CD's (it was interesting at first, but now they're fixing the problem and there's nothing new to report)
4. Evolution vs. intelligent design (no editorial comment for this one)
5. Terrell Owens ('nuf said)
*sigh*
You can't tell me you are tired of TO already? How can someone not be tired of a primadonna?
