my hometown (where my parents still live): villa park, illinois
my college town (where one of my sisters is): northfield, minnesota
my other sister's college town: des moines, iowa
where i am right now: princeton, new jersey
notice the fact that at this very moment, princeton is colder than any of those other midwest locations. villa park is a chicago suburb: chicago, the windy city! des moines is flat, farm country, the epitome of frontier midwest. northfield is in minnesota, for goodness sake!
remember when it was 70 degrees late in november? it was snowing in at least two of the three other cities during that week.
ah, how the tables have turned. it's cold here. and i love it. :)
