something like january 1

i'm not much one for new year's resolutions. but i have decided that tonight is a good night for summer resolutions.

see...i read my share of blogs. and they all have these wonderful comments on theology and politics and world events and books and writers. they get fired up and excited about things, but more importantly, they take the time to explore life. they indulge their intellectual selves. i feel inspiried right now. so, resolutions for this summer:

1. read more books! (and then think about them.)
2. be more updated on world news
3. journal more
4. explore topics that aren't my area of expertise, simply because i'm interested in them (economic policy, computers)
5. revisit topics that used to be - and still are - my area of expertise (shakespeare, poetry, classical music, especially bach)

that is a list full of many heavy resolutions, and i have no idea how much i will accomplish. honestly, i'm not sure how many of them i will even begin, though i hope to work on at least a couple of them. but i have decided that i would like to regain some semblance of the renaissance woman that i would love to be. indulge my brain. (and still make time for video games!)

happy summer!!
