left to go: finishing the book Theology, Music, and Time and writing a review of it; studying for Monday's Christology exam
i am almost there.
it appears that tea both keeps me sane and makes me productive. since monday, i think that i have had close to two cups a day. and not sweet little teacups full. i'm talking about my big blue favorite mug with the developing crack down the side. i have brewed more tea this week than probably this whole schoolyear combined. black teas, green teas, herbal teas, vanilla almond tea from the republic of tea, and even an eerily neon green but very very tasty iced green tea latte at starbucks this afternoon. (i highly recommend them.)
i have also been kept sane by listening to Brahms' Variations on a Theme of Haydn, Iron and Wine, Bach orchestral suites, and Caedmon's Call (especially 40 Acres).
my other secret has been getting up early and doing work before i'm awake enough to feel bored or unmotivated.
and somehow, through this bizarre combination of tea leaves, random music, and sleep deprivation on the early side rather than the late side, i am within grasp of finishing finals. i am saner than i've ever been during finals, and it looks as if there will be NO all-nighters, or even 4am-ers. i think that life is good.
praise the lord.
