I am the Master!

In a matter of speaking, of course.

I am all graduated. A Master of Divinity, if you will. :) There's so much I could say that I don't know if there's
anything I can say. The service was beautiful, I was able to enjoy it sitting by choir friends in the first row, the Princeton University Chapel is majestic and even moreso with lots of organ and brass music, I am honored to have won the Sacred Music prize, I didn't trip going up to receive my diploma, I smiled a lot, I took a lot of pictures...it was a wonderful way to mark the end of my seminary career, and it hasn't quite sunk in yet that I have this newfangled post-college degree!

So, that being said, here are a couple pictures so you can see how silly I look in those darn hats! (But Masters' hoods are very cool.) More pictures can be found here.

  1. sorry my mom INSISTED you wear the hat.

hopefully we can catch up in chicago someday. the best city in the world, i tell you.

  2. Congratulations, Melissa. Looking forward to having you back in Chicago after all these years. :)

  3. Congrats on graduating!
