Just found your blog so I haven't been following what's been going on with you.
But I can totally understand missing CPE. I did mine 6 years ago and I can remember being scared to death going into it. You hear all kinds of horror stories beforehand. I ended up making some good friends. I learned a lot about myself. It wasn't nearly so frightening as I was led to believe.
I've heard pastors suggest that clergy be required to do a unit every 5 years or so. I wouldn't go that far. I don't know if I'd sign up to do another unit. But it was a great and important part of my seminary education.
I hope you'll look back on it with fond memories and recognize some good learnings.
